Memberships
Freedom Boating Club offer flexible memberships to suit all individual needs.
For a low annual fee you get to use a luxury boat on a very flexible schedule. Members can book the boat using the online booking. You and your guests will be met at the marina and be helped aboard with all your belongings. The boat is fully fuelled and the fridges are pre-chilled. We help you set off and are available to you during your cruise day and night should you need us for any reason.
At the end of your day we will assist you in docking and unloading the boat. You simply walk away with great memories of the day and leave everything else to us.
We are currently able to offer a full membership for less than the cost of a marina berth for a year! Yes that is correct, less than what you would pay just to park your boat for a year and then you would have all the other costs including financing, depreciation, insurance, registration, servicing, slipping and antifouling, cleaning, wear and tear not to mention when things go wrong.
A fantastic fund day out on a luxury vessel and no cleaning up afterwards! Now that's definitely a dream come true!
Even if you are completely new to boating or just a little rusty, that's fine as all members are given comprehensive boat handling and familiarising training to ensure safety and confidence on the water. So relax in knowing we will teach you everything you need to know about operating your vessel safety and professionally.
And unlike buying your own boat - you won't be locked into a financial commitment of years. Because the membership is annual you just pay as you go. So if your situation changes, you are not locked in to any commitments and can just walk away.
Let us do the hard work of owning a boat for you, so all you have to do is enjoy the experience.
BENEFITS
- No Capital Outlay: Generally speaking most people find it difficult to justify an outlay of $250,000 - $450,000 for a recreational item, which is used very infrequently. With Freedom Boating Club we purchase the boats, take care of all the costs and worries and Members just enjoy the use of the boats at a fraction of the cost of ownership.
- No Ongoing Costs: As a Freedom Boating Club Member you know exactly what your annual boating costs will be - there are no hidden charges. All you pay for is the fuel you use.
- No Long Term Commitment: Membership is on an annual basis. You are not "locked" into an arrangement, which you can't get out of if your personal circumstances happen to change. If you find you don't use your boat as much as you had planned you can simply walk away without a "financial hangover". The perfect way to, "Try before you buy!".
- 5 Star "Walk on - Walk off" Service: Freedom Boating Club is "hassle free". Your boat is clean and fully fuelled when you arrive to go out for your cruise. When you arrive back -no cleaning - no worries, you just walk away. Club staff takes care of the rest
- Low Annual Fee: Annual Membership fees are normally less than what it would cost just for maintenance, mooring and insurance let alone the annual depreciation on luxury boats.
- Flexibility: Members of Freedom Boating Club are able to try out all boats within their Club. Take a larger boat out if you have a bigger party or a smaller one - the choice is yours.
- Easy Booking: Simply choose when you would like to take your boat out and then send us an email request or book over the phone.
- Feeling Apprehensive: Don't worry! Included in every membership is the cost of a full familiarisation and training on the boat of your choice. When you first venture out in command of your boat you will be comfortable and confident.
HOW IT WORKS
Freedom Boating Club Membership is structured on a points system. To ensure members have fair and flexible use of their boats. This allows Members to use their points as they please on a flexible schedule, ensuring we can get you out on the water when you really want, simply by using your points.
On joining, all Full Members regardless of the class of boat they have chosen, are allocated 12,000 points to be used throughout the Membership year.
At Freedom Boating Club we only allocate up to 144,000 points per boat, meaning that even when fully subscribed there can never be more than 12 Full Members on each boat. This ensures all Members will be able to use their points throughout the year fairly, while still providing a large margin of free days to provide extra flexibility and down time for maintenance and bad weather. Our aim is always to get you out on the water having fun.

MEMBERSHIP V'S BUYING
Why own 100% of a boat, when you use it 15% of the time? At Freedom Boating Club you can own a share of a luxury boat that suits your user time!
100% Boat Ownership
This family bought a boat so they can go out whenever they want. It's great, but they found they're not using it as much as they expected.
It's a lot of work - the day before their trip, they need to go to the marina to clean and prepare the boat and need to clean it again when they return.
They notice the engine is making a strange noise and they are worried about it, the warranty is finished, but it might be covered by insurance - the premiums are high enough.
The kids understand that they can't go to Movie World this year.
Luxury Boat Share
This family share a boat through Freedom Boating Club. They booked their day out in advance, then they turned up in the morning to find their boat clean, serviced and ready to go.
After their fun day out on the water, they were tired and just wanted to go home. As always, Freedom Boating Club took care of everything else. Sometimes they decide that they don't feel like boating and want to do something else instead, so they do. And with the money they saved by not buying a boat, they're taking the children on an overseas holiday.
After owning a couple of our own boats and learning the hard way just how much time, effort and money it takes to run a boat we only wish we had found Freedom Boating Club earlier.
